Danger island was shown on the Banana Splits Adventure Hour in 1969.
The show featured around 5-8 minute segments in each episode.
The cast was:
Prof. Irwin Hayden – Frank Aletter
Lincoln 'Link' Simmons – Jan-Michael Vincent
Leslie Hayden – Ronne Troup
Morgan – Rockne Tarkington
Chongo – Kim Kahana (as Kahana)
Mutan - Victor Eberg

as a 54 year old i caught the reruns of the Splits in the afternoons after school in the late 70s the great Richard Donner directed this he was a television director before The Omen and Superman

I used to love the Danger Island segments of the Banana Splits show when I was little. In addition to starring a young Jan-Michael Vincent, it was directed by Richard Donner, who went on to direct Superman: The Movie, Lethal Weapon, The Goonies, The Omen, and more.

Thanks for posting. One of my favorites as a kid. Couldn’t wait until the Arabian Knights or Three Musketeers cartoons were over so the Danger Island episode would start.

I looked for this for years, without knowing its name, I only remember that they showed it when they gave banana split, I was 7 or 8 years old around the year 86 here in Chile, I have a question, was Danger Island a movie or a series?
