How to Fix a Warped Vinyl Record

I tried this but it did not really make much difference. I then tried putting the warped record between two sheets of flat glass with a weight on top. Better but still not great. I finally used a hair drier on the warped edge of the record for 10 - 20 minutes touching the record to make sure it was not too hot. Then I put it between two sheets of glass (inside a paper only sleeve to protect the grooves) and it worked about 95% better.

Without heat it will never do anything.
Put between 2 pieces of glass in the oven at a very low temp. Let it sit for a good 20 minutes. Turn it off and let it cool down before removing. Should remove or greatly reduce any warps.

I use a 1" thick marble slab, and a 12" round glass from a small table. I sandwich the record between the marble and glass. I'm doing this now, on a hot day with a warped Metallica record. We'll see what happens at the end of the day.

In this useless method, the bottom book is doing absolutely nothing if on a flat surface anyway! But then again the top book is useless too🤣
