Canned Sardines Make a MOST SATISFYING SANDWICH

For me, a can of sardines is not enough to make a meal. But with a few ingredients more, a sandwich can be constructed, that gives me the energy to go about my fishy life for HOURS. This sandwich is LIFE, true believers! And what a glorious end for such a non-descript supermarket deenz. We are truly living in an incredible era of culinary discovery. I credit myself.

A pub here in Trondheim (Norway) has started serving brisling sardines warm in the can as one of their smaller meals if you want something to go with a couple of beers. Seem like they add some spices and just heat up the whole can. Some bread and garnishes/sauces on the side. Maybe that kind of thing is normal in New York, but I haven't seen it before. Slightly freaks out your non-fish-freak friends, which is an added bonus.

Like most people the idea of sardines have always kinda grossed me out, I like fish but I just always thought sardines were their own beast. The way you eat and get so excited about sardines really made me want to try them, so I went out the other day and picked some up for the first time and tried them, and thoroughly enjoyed them; thank you for opening my eyes to a new favourite snack.
