Timely! As an owner of an I.T outsourcing agency (we do NLP/ML, and data-related projects like DWH, data lakes, Big Data, ETL/ELT etc) I have FINALLY decided to learn some coding myself (I have a background in sales & project management, and I did some coding at unviersity, but never professionally). As always, thanks for enlightening us to great sources. I just started my journey w/ a Udemy Python course and I'm really enjoying it. Often it's just a matter of finding an instructor that meshes with your style of learning. I wish I had these resources and opportunities 25 years ago when I allowed a university prof. to intimidate me out of a programming course.

I love the advice of just jumping in without spending a lot of time on selecting which course. That is starting to really make sense to me at this point, its more about having a number of different sources (to see different approaches and get different viewpoints) and a number of different projects (practice, practice, practice!). I'm 55 and studying linux and terminal before start coding.
I need a job, and coding make possible to get it outside Brazil, even living here, so here I go.
My inicial ROADMAP is this
- Learn Linux TV
- CS50x
- FreeCodeCamp
- The Odin Project
+ a number of projects to develop/fix my skills, and show progress.
Some of them are things I'm not satisfied, like a better bookmark manager plugin, a text editor WITH background noise feature, and so on.

CS50 by MIT Harvard, the one you mentioned, is currently the BEST online programming course anywhere and even though I didn't finish it (back in 2020!) I learned A LOT and I still use those fundamentals even today. Seriously, anyone watching this who's having trouble picking? I would pick this one and just get started. All the support for people starting ❤ you can do it
