Well, bear in mind that it was made over 3 days. The story goes that after Roger Corman had finished shooting a movie, he still had 3 days left of a set he had rented. He put that 3 days to use.

Roger Corman just passed away at the age of 98. Thank you for all the great films, sir. Rest in Peace. 😎✌️☘️🍀

When a movie starts with a man validating his flower consumption, I know I’m gonna like it

R.I.P. Jonathan Haze, please spread some love and heartfelt condolences to his family. A onetime stage manager for Josephine Baker and cousin of jazz drummer Buddy Rich, he did two dozen pictures with the late Roger Corman.

I love how twisted Jack Nicholas was even back in 1960.

"dont waste your pity on me Audrey, Im not worth
"Who says youre not!?"

"yeah, I know. "

Baha! I actually smiled at that one. These older comedy films usually dont ever humor me, but that was cute.

I love the intro for the dentist, "Now, you're going to get it -- you're going to get it!"

Don't say you love the anime if you haven't read the manga.

It's funny, because my English teacher showed us this movie to improve our English (I live in Sweden). Wonder how she came across THIS movie of all movies.. xD

On par with the 1986 version, both great in their own way.
Also, I never noticed the radio saying "music for old invalids" until now.

I just love how they ignore the one dude eating the carnations @6:47. The 1986 version had great music, but this one was way more quirky.

I remember first time seeing this movie as a kid back in the early 70's. It was on a tiny black and white tv with rabbit ears. lol. Every late Friday night lot of old 1950's and 60's sci-fi would come on..I think the channel station was call ' Friday Fright Night ', something like that. ..Most of it were the ' B's ' types...Boy, as a kid, it was such a treat, especially when you see it for the very first time...Those days were the best...Thank you for sharing..

I saw this when it came out.  Later I saw the musical stage play in the East Village, and the movie musical. My favorite was the musical on stage. At the end, the plant not only ate the entire cast, but leafy tentacles fell from the ceiling. It was trying to eat the audience!

By director Roger Corman, who made low budget B movies more entertaining than many expensive epic star filled films. Thank you.

I remember watching this flick in 1963 on Shock Theater (hosted by Ghoulardi). I've always dug the soundtrack to this celluloid gem.
