Hitting that subscribe button and commenting may seem insignificant. But for me it’s huge and will help this channel reach new heights. So if you could that would be amazing 🤘

I'm compelled out of concern to warn you that, that strap buckle edges up against the battery is a serious fire risk. Especially if you're going off road. I'd take it off NOW before it's too late. Or atleast put a flat edge between the buckle and the battery, so that bumps wont eventually make the edges of the buckle pierce the battery. Ride safe dude.

$2500 😭
I recently spec’d out a similar build but with 7200w, and it was $1800. You should learn how to build batteries if you plan on building many more of these in the future, you can save so much.
Great build though

2500$? Man, i built bike like this for 1440$. It have lifepo4 77v31ah with smart BMS, this battery barely loose its charge while driving (working voltage 3-3.3 instead of 3.4-4.2 with li-ion) Lifepo4 much better in terms of amount of cycles and work at freezes. I also got fardriver BT controller and the same motor 3kW. Your controller is 80Amps, right? I can push to the motor any up to 150Amps (11550W), if i upgrade to qs205 or qs270. And see, cause i have 5 volts nominal more, i can push 400W extra, on the same current and it still not gonna overheated. I'll be happy share a video, but i still working on electrics and not record it yet.

Battery + charger 800$
motor 250$
controller 130$
bike+welding work 250$
wires, connectors soldering and other stuff 10-20$

I was entertained. I liked, I subscribed. Your delivery, the tape, the extra wires. the "one thing I noticed was the brakes" .. Sir, that was like watching a new Trailer Park Boys episode. I watched it twice in a row.
Bravo.
My hat is off to you!

I've built mine with a Walmart full suspension mtb, i have the 3000W hub motor with an 85A controller and 72 volt battery, it makes close to 60 mph and weighs only 65 pounds, i upgraded the brakes and suspension to air, it really goes great, even at high speed.

New sub to get even closer to the Mil lol... I hit sub just with the intro hahaha great work!!! Work on bike and the editing... I'll suggest some torque arms to secure that rear tire... 💯😍🤩👍👍🤣

I see an issue with the battery strap distorting the battery, , this could damage cells to cause a thermal overload.
Build an actual aluminum box to carry the battery then strap the box, , way safer

the metal in the strap will cause the cells to break, neat as the build may be that is a major point of fail to the point it might cause it to burn down. id get cover on it soon as humanly possible. if it was me i would have kept the back motor an put it in the front then use a smaller controller plus back motor for the back since dual motors use less power as a whole the push-of the wheel is leveled out then swap the breaks for 4 type breaks.

You should've used a fat tire. That would've taken up the space between the dropouts. If you stick with that back wheel I'd use bushings instead of a bunch of washers.

Be careful not to puncture the battery back with the ratchet. But I really like this video. There are a lot of really cool looking ebikes, but they're all over priced, And under powered in my opinion and been looking at stuff like this. converting one..

i would get thick plasic sheats and make a case around all the letronics and i would change the strap to make it nice and good

Awesome dude! Watch having the metal part of your ratchet strap against the battery, it will eventually rub a hole it yhe shrink wrap and could cause it to short.

nice build but what happened to the top speed test

I am actually looking to do the same on the same bike... Could you tell me the width on the rear fork? Is it ~170mm? Cool watch though.

Why didn't u get a 20x4" hub motor wheel

since you are running more power through the motor you should put cooling fins on the hub motor, apply thermal paste first though

Hardly a Budget when you have to buy the ebike to convert it. Make it make sense to me, please.

Go with an Amorge battery, great price and they will make custom sizes to fit your needs.
