A Simple & Easy Way to Teach Coin Value and Counting Money

Hairy Money is a super silly method of teaching students skip counting money that kids love! A simple, yet effective, method that is proven to provide lots of giggles and engagement! This method is great for grown-ups to help reinforce what their students have learned.
The concept is simple- students line up their coins from most to least valuable. Then, they give each coin a "hair" for every five cents it has- so 5 hairs for quarters, 2 for dimes, 1 for nickels. Pennies are bald and only get a dot.
Students can get creative with their hairy money by using different colors, or designs- curly cues or zig zags make great hair too!
