The use of LED screens over a green screen actually becoming viable for this kind of production is awesome.

It's kind of funny to me that we're now getting popcorn flick B-movies with legitimately great effects. We can now watch absurdity and bask in bad writing with gorgeously realized underwater action!

THE amount of traditional VFX being done over these VP shots is pretty tremendous though. Environmental effects, lighting, hair, clothing, water / depth lensing, etc etc. I wish discussions about virtual production included more of how it's a tool in the VFX pipeline rather than a solve. VP is slowly dying from hype-thermia because every client who loves Mandalorean gets pissed when their spot doesn't look "right".

In other words, they replaced the entire LED stage in post production because it doesn't look final at all.
You can see the lighting has completely changed and the person was composited with new CG - this means they rotoscoped her off and re-did all the work.
