I spent a bit of time flying with the Navy as an air crewman. The camaraderie amongst the men lives on way past the time that I was actually in the squadron, and lives on today. You just had to be involved to totally understand the brotherhood.

I used to work for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Global Sustainment, keeping the old P-3's in service. Overhauling and upgrading them with new mods. We would get them in from all over the world. We got more from Homeland Defense that operated from U.S. Customs and Border Protection than we did from the U.S. Navy. I know the ole P-3 inside and out. We also overhauled old C-130's. But I spent more time in the P-3 program. Even though my job wasn't glorious, like being a P-3 crew member. Without guys like me, there would be no guys like you.
