I was a 2nd wave alpha tester, before it was super widespread. It was my childhood. Lego Universe will never be topped in ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM, except by a spiritual successor.

Apparently the main reason it failed financially was because the technology to block wiener-shaped builds was too costly for the company to keep it going.

Reminds me of how Free Realms died too. They gave free premium to everyone and made everything in the shop free for an entire month. It was so much fun to finally use all the premium stuff that I didnt even know they were shutting down the servers (likely cause I was so young). I honestly dont think I was that sad when it ended either, just a bit bummed out.

I loved that game so much. I anticipated it for more than a year, and subscribed to it for it's entire lifetime. Loved the entire experience. Could it have been better? Absolutely. Did it's failures detract from my enjoyment? Not at all.

The update version is a pain in the ass harder to get cash and 75 is need instead of 40 for level armour I was at 39 just before it changed but it has some good stuff battle mode is nice
