I think it would be cool if you made a short addressing the common misconception that defibrillators are used when someone is flatlining!

I just saw a real man’s life saved. This is a miracle of science and medicine. I have goose pimples all up and down my arms and my stomach feels like I have been on a roller coaster.

It's so beautiful that you can see his heart starting to beat normally again. To me that's is the most beautiful rythm

Which a lot of people don't realize, this isn't used when your heart isn't beating. It's used when the heart isn't beating correctly 😊

In reality restoring a normal sinus rhythm isn’t a big deal, you can restore it even after 20 minutes or longer, as the heart cells can deal with ischemia. The most challenging issue is dealing with post-resuscitation, so even if resuscitation was successful, braindeath, irreversible brain damage, and other complications that happen with re-perfusion of the tissues are the reason why most patients do not survive heart arrest.
So resuscitating the patient is a good thing, but it isn’t the biggest challenge.

I have Heart Failure and needed to have a defibrillator implanted into my chest in 2010. It has shocked me and saved my life several times. I wouldn't have made it to the hospital for this life saving work up. ♡

A good friend was shocked 17 times in a chopper following a heart attack. He needed 4 x by-pass. He's fine now, thank science and doctors.

Real life heroes. Thank you for what you all do! I had my life saved by the fire department and emergency room surgeons before, forever grateful.

I've had this done more times than I care to think about. I have an implanted defibrillator and still have had to have cardioversion. Waiting for a heart transplant.

I was a lone flight attendant on a plane w/ 50 passengers when a man was in full cardiac arrest. I was able to access my AED at 30k feet and then manual compressions until we did an emergency landing. He never regained consciousness and ended up in a coma for 12 days then underwent a triple bypass and valve replacement. This was 15 years ago and hes still with us today!
