My daughter taught me to put some of the wide thick clear tape(waterproof)the kind used to hold a cracked glass pane in place over the offending speakers. Aah the relief! I guess that aesthetically it doesn't look so "broken" then either lol ❤❤and yes I happen to be one of those weird people who keeps a roll of that stuff around haha and I use it to unobtrusively repair things like books it also reinforces! Happy soundproofing and mending! 😊😊😊

Soooo true. I learned the tape over speaker trick by another mom when my now (14, 13, &9) yr olds were babies. Or take batteries out. "Oh gee mommy out of batteries again"!!

I've been covering the speakers with packing tape for years. It really does cut the sound down about half volume.
