These kinds of toy guns were commonplace when I was a kid back in the 80's. I remember them being very fun to play with especially when you have pretend shootouts with your friends.

I had something like this as a kid. Same plastic caps. It was probably better quality 55+ years ago. I remember it being about as loud as a fire cracker.
