I am an IMMIGRANT living in the USA 🇺🇸 The Story of a Female Van Life Traveler (The Good & the Bad)
I am an immigrant since I was 22 years old. Becoming a resident in another country that is not your birth country is actually very complicated and on this video I wanted to share my experience as an immigrant in the USA. I am from Spain, I certainly miss the food from my country, my family and some of my friends. There are a lot of things that you need to adapt when you become an immigrant. Being strong and having an open mind are keys to success. Do not give up, do your research and live your life. It's intimidating at first but this decision could change your life forever.

I am an immigrant, was never easy but here I am sharing my story. Have you ever considered to move to another country? What’s your take on immigration? Before I emigrated my country I had the wrong opinion about immigration. I was naive, I thought it was a simple thing and that anyone could do it… but oh boy I was so wrong. There is so much paperwork involved and a lot of bureaucracy. You must be a very strong minded person to survive this process but I will never regret of this life changing decision.

I am originally from Germany. I attended music college in Boston, MA, from 2000 to 2003. After graduation, I returned to Germany because I didn't feel ready to live in the U.S. yet. I was able to get a merit-based green card and immigrated in November 2016. I became a U.S. citizen in 2023. I absolutely LOVE this country now, and vanlife has enabled me to see so much of it already. It still blows my mind that various states are bigger than Germany. I also still feel strongly connected to Germany and might move back one day to spend more time with my family. For the most part, I have only met good people here, but I share some of the cons with you, like the quality of food. Also my mom is from Venezuela, immigrated to Germany in the 80s, moved to Southern Spain when she retired. So I grew up with the life of an immigrant. Safe travels! 😎🇺🇲

Welcome to the USA! 😊 (11 years later) I was an immigrant to Europe for 7 years. It was lonely and not easy but also expansive and educational and shifted my perspective. So again, welcome. It’s nice ti have you here. 🌷

I know from personal experience that the pain from trauma will get easier to accept day by day.
Trying to have a positive effect on other people’s lives helps with the healing ❤

A+++ Great choice of topic for your video. It was super interesting to watch. I especially liked when you called to attention some of the differences between life in Spain vs the US. Love you and love your vilnerability and openness to share your life with us. My husband and I travel in our van. We're currently in Santa Cruz. Last January webwere in San Diego parked by you on a rainy day. I left a handwritten note on your old van. Always wishing you the best! ❤️🤗
