Got a new toy to add to my fleet. Sold off my older 1996 Yamaha Waveraider and Wave Blaster 760's and turned around and bought this 2004 Yamaha FX Cruiser HO 1100. Just looking to get this ski looking and running good before the season. Follow along!

In this video I remove and install new Hydro-Turf foot foam mats as well as remove some of the aging graphics. In the end, the ski looked pretty good but the process was difficult.

I just finished removing my traction mats. I tried a number of approaches I saw on YouTube. They all were not very good. I then tried 3M’s adhesive remove. It worked great. I used Googone on the last bit of glue. Worked great. I had scratches like you. I used a 2 part epony to fill deep scratches and painted with 2 part marine paint that was a perfect match.

Your video was really good and helped.

Instead of adding on more Matt’s with glue, tape off where you want to put your Matt’s and sand it with 80 grit and spray on bed liner. It’s waterproof and will never fade or peel off because you have a mechanical bond with the 80 grit sand scratches and you can use whatever color you want !

I have not done anything near this size but you can go to a auto paint supply store and buy a rubber wheel that looks like a big eraser. They use it to take off the adhesive from badges without hurting the paint. Again, nothing this large.
