This song popped into my head today. I was very young when it came out. Today, I heard all the words.

Amazing! So true! Guess I'll be playing this one until it know all the words.😂❤

I don't know why but this song always makes me cry. Right now, I am bawling my head off. Maybe it is Judy's beautiful voice. Maybe it is the lyrics. Maybe it is the beautiful melody. I have always loved this song from the first time I heard it back in the seventies. I live in chronic pain and I have looked at life from both sides now when I had my health and now when I am in a wheelchair and in pain management. I live moment to moment instead of making plans because I don't have that choice now. I have looked at life from both sides now. I really don't know life at all, but I do know love.

This is my favorite version of this great song. Wonderful era for music that said something. My 43 year old daughter just told me this is her favorite song and she remembers it so well from me playing it when she was little. It is timeless! Judy Collins voice is so pure.

I was a little girl when I first heard this song in the 1970’s on my little
transistor radio.
Now I’m 60 and just listened to it as an adult. This is a life lesson song. The music I always remember. It’s beautiful but has a sadness to it as well.

This song encompasses the meaning of life in its lyrics. Life isn't just fairy tales, castles or dreams of endless joy. It also appears to be about tragedy, great loss, suffering and often pain.
Fortunately, as we grow in the journey, we come to realize that winners and losers are non-existent, or opposites of any kind. Behind the clouds the sun always shines brightly.
There was really nothing we ever had to fear.

Joni Mitchell's genius, sung by the voice of an angel. In my advanced years in a century full of fools and foolishness, I turn to the 'folks' of the 60's and into the 70's and I feel joyful that I've lived.

I thought this version of this song was one of the most beautiful songs I ever heard. That was over fifty years ago. It’s beauty echoes through the years. A timeless masterpiece.

While my friends are listening to monotone, no talent rap crap, I'm scouring the Internet for the songs my parents and grandparents listened to; ones that actually had substance and required musical talent. Shortly after my mother passed away several years ago, I heard this song for the first time. The words hurt me so bad, and the melody was so melancholy... her voice so surreal... that I wept for hours.
This song helped me heal.

Never really listened to this song before but it's very powerful -- becoming disillusioned to things that used to hold so much wonderment, recalling how those earlier times felt and searching for some deeper meaning to them, only ending up with more questions than answers. Such a simple concept laid out so poetically.

This song may have been released in 1967, but it still sings the truth of today.
This is what is truly meant by the word "timeless". Great song!

This came out when I was 23, listened to it carefully hundreds of times on my Panasonic record player in Japan. Opened my mind to the realities of life, made me appreciate everyday there after. God bless Joni and Judy.

One of life’s little mysteries… How did Joni Mitchell write something so profound and mature… at age 24?

I was about 12 when I first heard this song. It meant the world to me. Every time I am disappointed with someone I care about, I resort to this song. After listening and singing, I always feel 100% better than I did. It is my "feel good" song.
