The problem isnt how much water something takes to produce whatever product it is nor is it the product itself. It comes down to modern agriculture. For example, the dust bowl in the midwest of the US was caused by farm equipment. Tilling destroys the nutrients in the topsoil, the farm equipment kicks up tons of dirt and dust which suffocates clouds (which are living organisms), are detrimental not only to the environment but our health as well as its literal poison, and monocrop culture destroys everything. If we start agroforests worldwide and stop replacing trees and plants with farms and concrete and buildings that dont blend with nature, we wouldnt have any problems. Sharing our food with animals and insects is harmonious with nature and with agroforestry, there's such an abundance of food that sharing with nature and being free from poisons would stop 99.9% of our food shortages and current issues we face. The problem then is only for those profiting off of our current system. Plus, the disconnect of humans to food is the reason we have so many people who think the natural order of things is "murder" when in reality, its balance and the nature of life and death.
