This is incredibly useful, thanks! For some reason, searching the archive on our network drive is incredibly slow, even though it's supposed to be indexed. Now we can create a separate index of the files and searching is much faster. And it was very easy to do. I've used Excel for years but I didn't know about this function. So thanks again.

Hi Jeff, Love this, thanks so much! I've been PQ-ing files from folders for a few years and never once considered how easy it would be to create this list. So here's a thought -- I removed all columns except the file path and the file name, moved the path in front of the file name, merged the columns, and close-and-loaded the list to a table in my workbook. Then I used Excel's Hyperlink function to create a hotlink for each of the files (just create the first one and copy down). Thanks again for great tip!
