Dr. Matthew P. Cornies brings a unique perspective to health matters, because he had to rehabilitate from debilitating injuries, giving him the doctor/patient perspective. Dr. Cornies suffered with three ruptured discs in his lower back. In 2005, he was transported on a stretcher to the hospital without the ability to put any weight on his right leg. He walked with crutches for approximately two months and with a cane for about another month and a half. In 2006, he had a microdiscectomy at one of the ruptured discs, which along with ongoing chiropractic care, and daily spinal hygiene has Dr. Cornies back to full function and even playing golf!

Dr. Matthew P. Cornies was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, and has been a chiropractic physician in Memphis since 2005. He opened Kirby Whitten Chiropractic in Bartlett, TN in 2010, and is committed to helping his patients heal as quickly as possible, feel better, function better, and achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle through chiropractic care. Dr. Cornies is a dynamic speaker and enjoys motivating people to live well!

Dr. Matthew P. Cornies is a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctorate of Chiropractic. He also earned a Bachelor of Science with specialized honors in Human Kinetics from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. He is a licensed chiropractor in Tennessee and is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
