Thank you I love how other people make ghee videos that are like 79 minutes long… Two minutes did the job 👍🏼👍🏼✨

Liked, commented, and subscribed for not having a 10+ minute video about something as basic as ghee while also being informative about how AND why.

Thank you so

Another tip. Boil up a few fingerling potatoes when you decide to make ghee. So you can wipe the pan and all the little bowls and all the little spoons clean with fresh boiled potatoes.
A true chefs delight.

You can also can this. Heat your clean jars to 200F for 20 minutes. I use a digital thermometer to check because if the jars are too hot whatever you put in there might boil and you don't want that. Put clean lids and all utensils in boiled water. When the ghee is ready pour into hot jars leaving about half inch space at the top and place lids on top to seal. Place in fridge or cool place and should keep for months and months. I've done this canning method for 20 years and it works every single time on all kinds of foods.

Alternately ghee can also be frozen. Enjoy!

Perfect. I use ghee for 90% of my cooking as I'm lactose intolerant and I get no symptoms when using it :)

Waoooo good to see u have the learnt the correct method of making Ghee, however donot fish out the scums next time as u indirectly throwing out ghee with it. Instead allow the scums to boil and later on U can see a brown layer settling down and once it’s cool down just strain it as u did and u will see more quantity of ghee with same quantity of butter...(just a suggestion it is)

What a delightfully easy recipe! Thank you. I've wanted to make my own ghee for awhile now but always felt intimidated by the process. Your instructions were so easy to follow. I'm excited to try it. I recently started a very strict elimination diet to figure out some symptoms, & while I was already avoiding lactose & using some store bought ghee, I wanted to make sure I was eliminating casein & whey also. Hopefully I can tolerate the ghee, if so I will definitely make my own from now on! Way cheaper than grass fed ghee bought at the store.

Thanks! I'll defenetly use ghee for my high heat cooking! Once the solid parts are removed (the protein?) the smoking point becomes much higher which is perfect for searing steaks!

In India, ghee is made without using ready made unsalted butter. Cream is separated from milk and given an ice bath until it resembles butter. Floating impurities are removed, water drained and finally, it is heated in a pan until the liquid becomes clear.

Thank you for this clear easy-to-follow recipe for yummy ghee :) If your container is clean and everything used along the way is clean and you always introduce a clean Implement to get your ghee out, it should last indefinitely at room temperature! that's one of the benefits of it..it also has amazing benefits for the nervous system and other health benefits that are worth checking out! I like the information that John Doulliard at lifespa speaks about some of the health benefits of ghee... they are many :)

I decided to use the stuff I skimmed off to cook my asparagus this evening as an experiment. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the best. 😁
