58 years old. Diagnosed 6 weeks ago, Gleason 9, PSA 2000 now 3500. Started Firmagon 4 weeks ago. Bone scan shows metastases throughout the bones in my upper body, arms, spine, ribs, everywhere. PET/CT next week. This video gives me some hope.

my father was diagnosed in 2017 with advanced ca prostate, with bone mets. he underwent docitaxel chemo, plus radiation, plus leuprolide, goserelin(zoladex), b/l orchidectomy, 6 monthly zolendronate and abirateron 250mg daily. I dunno if money was being extracted or the ttmnt is justified....but em happy he is fine till date, with 0.2 psa ! NEVER LOSE HOPE GUYS.

This was such an amazing interview, Im really tired of oncologist all over the world putting tags at men that have high PSA and bone mets when in reality there are successful cases and doctor that has the professionalism to guide them through the process. Thanks Dr Mark

I had a PSA of 137 with a Gleason 10 in all 12 cores. Started Lupron as well as a short course of Casodex. Had a PSMA Pet scan which did not show any bone metastases. Oncologist started me on Xtandi. 2 months later my PSA was 1.5 ng/ml. Ready to begin 9 weeks of IMRT after placement of fiducial markers and SpaceOAR. Everyone is different and many times this crazy disease can be controlled. Let us all stay positive and not give up hope!!

Are the cases he’s mentioning outliers, or is it fairly typical that a person with bone mets can still live the long life, treated aggressively and properly?

Very good video but these are anecdotal. Are there studies and statistics for this? Thanks

WoW! We really need to spread awareness, just as much as we do breast cancer. This is very shocking and alarming. Way too late! I thought men are supposed to have a prostate check annually, during their wellness checkup, Ugh!

Please do you need to have a confirmatory biopsy to confirm bone Mets
