Using keyboard shortcuts only: Esc (to exit from typing mode without exiting the Type tool), then CTRL+SHFT+arrows to move the text box in the frame by small increments. This can be done with or without switching to the selection tool (V).

how do you lock the x or y axis when moving text? I want to make sure I only move to the left/right and that my text stays in the same place vertically.
