This ties up to why some of the greatest artists, writers and thinkers of our history spent most, if not all of their life alone, and eventually ended up dying the same way. When you have no one to turn to, you turn to a blank page, an unpainted canvas, an unexplored idea in your mind. It is the hope that history will remember you, maybe even on a personal level, through your thoughts, ideas and creations.

sometimes having partners can in fact amplify loneliness when we have expectations that aren't met and we can feel more isolated than ever, so although i understand the point of the video i would have to say it's not the magical solution that fixes all.

Those who have a toxic family and narcissistic parents are too afraid to show their emotions and lonely most of the time, still finds peace when no one's around

Loneliness is not being alone.
It's the feeling that there is no one out there cares us, understands us and loves us unconditionally.
There is no one we can trust. So even when we are alone or being around people, we always feel so lonely...

I read that "Loneliness is not caused by others, it is when our mind tells you that nobody cares about you."
How about... caring for yourself first? ☺

I’m not sure what the underlying message here is. This “other” person we’re looking for who loves us unconditionally may not exist. I think we have to find ways to not be lonely in whatever situation we find ourselves.

I kept expecting him to say, at the end, that these visions of love are a naive fantasy, stemming from the childhood dynamics of parents as protectors, but then the video ended; I guess it was just sketching out the details of the ideal that is created as an inversion of loneliness...?

My goodness, if the SOL keeps promoting this utopia of a loving relationship, as if your significant other is soms kind of a Saint who unconditionally loves you and has a never ending curiousity for all of your whims....you are in for a big disappointment.
I live alone for 5 years after a marriage of 28. I feel lonely at times but never as lonely as in the same room/bed/party with a partner and expectations that will never be fullfilled.
Love is overrated as a cure for loneliness.

I really expected this to end with a line clarifiying that that way of depicting love is somewhat unrealistic and that we should also know that we'll always have to deal with at least some kind of loneliness. Either I'm a desperate case or I've misunderstood something in the video !
