After watching the vast majority of your 900ish videos, I'm amazed how much I'm still learning from your videos! I was surprised to see that the kerosine didnt seem to affect the dykem at all, I would have expected it to smudge the layout lines at least! Happy birthday, I look forward to the next videos!

Thanks for another very interesting video Mr Pete, I'm 61 and envious of Jordan, my Grandad passed away when I was younger than Jordan and I never got to spend very much time with him, sure hope he remembers all you teach him, I don't think he'll have a better teacher than you, best wishes to you both from England, I'm off to watch his video now !

Keep making videos, I love them. You remind me of my shop teacher 35 years ago.

I was half expecting you to "top and Tail" the J s and double up so jordan could double his production ?
Nice to see a simple job that despite being simple you'd struggle to do without the tooling.
When drilling you could certainly see the wood - which was more than you on that visit to the carnival.

Happy Birthday Mr. Pete. I hope Jordon doesn't kill all of the ducks and allows some to escape to southern IL where I can have a chance at em! Go Cubbies!

From the title, I expected to see a mold for the weights that we attache to the bottoms of wooden decoys. In any case, you've made another excellent video.

Very nice mold. Have you considered adding a wooden or aluminum edge to the end opposite the pliers notch to take the tapping to get the lead weight out without damaging the mold at all?

Happy belated birthday Mr. Pete! How time appropriate with the opening of dove season and early goose season here in central IL this weekend, with duck season right around the corner! Thanks for sharing this tip with us. I was on a blind several years ago with a guy who had weights like this on his decoys that were connected via a stretchy rubber line. We would wrap the line around the keel of the decoy, and then stretch as needed until you could hook the weight around the end of the keel. They were very easy to deploy, even in frozen water with gloves on... Much easier than the expensive store bought weights that I use on mine, which always seem to get tangled up and tied in knots. Wishing you and Jordan many more years of happy hunting together!
