Great review! Ive owned my mk8 R for 8months now. I agree with the chassis being a step up on the golf 7.5 Having driven both you can really feel it. The mk8 platform for me handles lot nicer less boat like. 👍 keep up the good work.

Really enjoyed that, Andrew. You make a really strong case for buying one that's nearly out of warranty and then fitting the Racing Line bits. Looks really exciting but enjoyable to drive. Andrew, thats some nice pieces of kit but at over £6.5k on top of the standard car £42k price tag its getting a bit hefty.

What weight saving is there with the wheels?

Racingline put a Stage 1 tune on my Tiguan Allspace 245 2.0Tsi, and it now chucks out more power and torque than the standard R. (335PS & 500Nm)
Top top blokes there too at the Milton Keynes HQ, esp Ben.

Great review Andrew. I know Ben and the lads at Racingline have worked so hard to get the mapping right on this car, and it seems a really lovely power delivery. Which translates to an effortless power, only enhancing this engines already healthy torque curve. You are so right when you say the R is the perfect all season weapon for this country, I have always favoured the GTI/Clubsport editions in the past, but with the Racingline package on the mk8 R, you honestly can now have your cake and eat it too. Have a wonderful xmas Andrew, thanks for all the content the past year, and l look forward to new content in 2023.
