Labor ‘turning its back’ on local resources will increase energy import needs

Sky News host Peta Credlin says Australia is likely to import gas after years of failing to bolster its own supply.

“To keep the lights on, experts are reporting today we are going to have to start importing expensive gas from overseas rather than use what we are blessed to have in the ground,” Ms Credlin said.

“With a government that is turning its back on developing our resources, voters will know who is to blame.”

What’s killing Australia is high energy costs and don’t forget the high taxes on fuel that filters to everything else.

Cut government spending, cut immigration, stop the rush to the stone age with renewable, that will do for a start.

Labor party politicians constantly claim they won't comment on the RBA, seemingly until it suits them to comment.

If the RBA did what Labor are asking then they'd be blaming the RBA for runaway inflation. The truth is that the RBA are only reacting to the economic circumstances that the Government has created, with their only mandate to keep inflation rates low. Labor would shift the blame onto the RBA no matter what they did.

This entire history of gas being sold to China for small change began under John Howard. they agreed to sell huge amounts to China and we paid for all the infrastructure to get the gas to offshore tanker ships. In return we agreed to sell our gas for pittance and none was to be kept in reserve for Australians to consume. The bonus awarded to us from China was two Panda Bears for our Zoo. This charade was then handled by the Labor Rudd/Gillard Governments with no change to conditions and pricing. When Turnbull came to power he linked the price of gas to oil pricing which did pay a small pittance more but still no retention of gas for our reserves. This charade continued under Morrison and into todays fiasco Labor Government and the end result will be we now have to buy Gas from elsewhere in the world at a much higher price that will drive our power prices up by large amount. This whole saga reeks of bad political decisions and possible corruption by all parties. This requires a Royal Commission that has the power to annul all previous deals and contracts so new deals can be struck that will benefit Australian Citizens and our Sovereignty. Political players involved in this saga should be bought to justice and charged with treason to the Australian public.

We have all the resources in Australia to be the richest in the world, yet we insanely import our power needs, windmills, transmission lines and solar panels from China. Why?

So we get cents a litre for our gas export, and will pay $29 a litre for Qatar gas?. Is that about right?....( small wonder high blood pressurex is a thing?).
