I love that the complaints about this $400, midrange phone are that it's 16MP can be blurry in low light, and that it "only" has a 1080p screen. We are so damn lucky to live in the time we do. My first digital camera had 3.2MP, and my first cell phone couldn't even muster numbers and text without severe pixelation, and forget about using the internet on that thing. A decade ago if you would have told me this phone simply existed, I wouldn't have believed you.

This phone is an absolute beast. I haven't done a full charge in going on 5 days (trickle charge a bit twice since then) and I'm still at 24% battery with nearly 16 hours screen on time. Zero lag, clean Android with minimal stuff on top... and subpar camera. If you use a real camera and don't need a great cell phone camera I can't recommend this phone enough. I don't have another camera so still deciding whether I'm going to return it for a phone with a good camera or buy a proper camera.

Mobile games don't more and more advanced every year, yet it doesn't matter how new the mid range chip is they say it's not good for gaming, but I bet it benchmarks better then a two year old old flagship..

I own the play z. For most consumers, its an excellent phone. If you are serious about gaming (like hardcore 3D games) and serious photography, you should look else where. The battery can take you 2 days on moderate use easily. Its fast and snappy enough for more than 99% of the apps people have, and general to most 3D games. For these situations you will not notice it is not running a SD820. Basically for the task most people use their phones for, social media, basic to general gaming, you will be fine - no hiccups. The active screen is also really nice with its premium like features

I just got this and the quality is better than the 7 which a had previously. The battery life is also wayyyy better than any iPhone.

it is perfect for gamers idk what your taking about. I play GTA San Andreas (all graphics as high as they can go), Real Racing 3, Asphalt 8 and it powers all amazingly and with no lag

I bought this one and sold my S6. I couldn't be more happy. It is true that flaships have better screen, better chip, ram and camera but, what for? with my S6 I had bluetooth off, gps off, screen to 30% brightness, fotos were decreased in quality to share and battery was lasting me until 18:00. With this one I have everything at 100% and is lasting me a day and a half easily!!
that for me is priceless, it gives me more than any flagship!

Btw, does anyone know what Clock widget is that?

I have the Moto X Pure and I love it. I like the Moto Z Play as it has some advantages like large battery, better fancy design (best looking phone), Amoled screen and finger print sensor. However Moto X Pure has better resolution, 520ppi compared to Moto Z Play's 401ppi, a 21mp camera compared to Moto Z Play's 16mp camera and AWESOME dual stereo speakers compared to Moto Z Play's single front speaker. The Moto X Pure cost me only $299 too. I will stick with my Moto X Pure but Moto Z Play looks great though. I think that I will wait for the Unlocked Moto Z price to drop because that is too much right now for me.
