Strawberry Pound Cake

Strawberry Pound Cake recipe:

Strawberry syrup:
10 to 12 med size strawberries diced up
3 tbsp and a tsp sugar
1 or 2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp corn starch
1/2 c water
1/2 tsp salt
Place in microwave for 3 to 4 min and attend closely or heat up on stove top and stir constantly until syrup becomes slightly thick then remove and let it cool

Strawberry cake mix:
2 sticks of unsalted butter
6 tbsp shortening
2 1/2 c sugar
1 small box of strawberry jello gelatin
5 large eggs (room temperature )
2 tsp strawberry extract
2 tbsp of strawberry syrup from the strawberry syrup that was made
3 c cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/8 or 1/4 of salt
1/2 c heavy whipping cream
1/2 c milk

Icing:

1 1/2 or 2 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 tsp strawberry extract
2 or 3 tbsp milk
1/4 butter

I see you make more than one version of the strawberry pound cake. In you opinion, which version has the best strawberry taste? The cream cheese, strawberry puree, and strawberry koolaid version; or the strawberry jello & milk version.
