I am in the process of becoming an entrepreneur. I have started to direct my focus on healing first while learning what brings me joy in life. Based on thesejoys i have found my way. I had a second art peice show at a gallerry this weekend, i am also in the process of turning my journey into a book and so much more. My main issue is trust i guess but i know the right people will show up as long as i continue to move forward. Thank you for what you do. Now time to grind till next time.#beleive#worthy#BTA15

Yes i completely agree that a mentor relationship needs work from the mentee! Put the work in and you'll reap the rewards... because remember, no one will care about your career as much as you do!

Thank you for the video, Evan. You have been so consistent with your videos and your belief. I guess all the businesses creating mentorship services are kind of like getting it wrong. Because honestly, with what you share about mentorship, I think it's really a relationship that you don't get or buy on command. It's a two-way thing.
My one question is, how do you get the best out of the little you have, and realize your dreams or attains goals in spite of people saying no to you several times?

My mentors Bryant Chambers and Nancy Rae Allen have helped so much. To keep it well-rounded, the content you provide Evan, has enriched my knowledge, and keeps me open to new people for additional steps toward success! I take away nuggets from you and everyone you interview.

I think I'd ask what they'd say to their younger self if they had the opportunity.

I believe it's a nice question for us two, since it makes them think about something powerful and thinks back on their beginning, and it's good for me as I learn something a successful person would say to themselves, and I'll take either a strong lesson or a motivational quote.

I love Less Brown. He has catchy affirmations that rhyme. It makes them easier to memorize. And his practical advise. In this clip he hands out a shopping list of success habits to be done on the daily. Simple genius. Thanks Evan for these morning segments. I'm hooked!!!

Hello Evan, hope all is well. This is another great video once again. I totally agree, I use to get it, then my time is wasted and I use to put me on ice. Lol! But it was all a great learning along the way. I also love it when people become something one day. And they are able to call the names or mentions due to lifes journey. #GOD when you value someone for who or what they are...you share to express why! All the best♡

I am trying to follow your advice on asking one question and then actually following through with the answer. That's very good advice, especially when my first reaction is to bombard someone with questions. Thanks Evan! Great video!

I’ve found that mentorship is a relationship that gives both parties, and a non-zero sum game

I have a great mentor. He has made me a better person. In the video, Simon said it should be a two street. It's a relationship. I'm not sure if I've give as much as I take. I'm a little embarrassed that I didn't realize that on my own, but I will definitely make it right. On my next meeting with him, I will ask him what I can do for him.

I had a horrible mentor. All they did was waste my time. Nothing was developed, materialized under their leadership, and so called "mentorship." As usual, I help them more than they helped me.

The mentee should definitely be providing some value in the mentorship relationship. This is something that I do a lot very early on when reaching out to a potential mentor. I like to provide value upfront then, later on, ask for advice on a certain topic.

"How do we shed the feeling of being possessed by our possessions?" Is the one question I can think of, and though the answer is "I've never seen a hearse towing a u-haul" i still can not part with that I've worked for over the years, yet do not use much if at all.

Great video. I have a lot of "mentors" they just don't know it lol. I love to absorb information and learn from what worked for other people. Seeing where the greats came from really helps me continue to believe that it's possible for me to do something great as well. #BTA 4
