Gandalf played such crucial role during the Third Age. He led the expedition to retake the Lonely Mountain, which deprived Sauron of Smaug and strategic position in the North East. This also accidentally led to rediscovery of the Ring of Power.

He Led the Fellowship to destroy the Ring, defeated Durin’s Bane, saved Rohan, and Led the Defense of Minas Tirith. He was the guiding hand that the Free Peoples of Middle Earth needed.

Love the Gondor archers shooting down the Orcs trying to break down their doors. Made it feel like a Middle Age siege scenario. Even with the Orcs' massive numbers Gondor had a slight advantage with their archers being able to shoot from long range distance. Great film!
