I was going to ask about the PH imbalance from the pine bark, but you suggested add ins to cover that.

Well, this is kind of true, but it also depends on the type of plant you’re growing and what you need. If the soil needs amending, some plants want less rich substrate or soil. But most veggies and edible plants would appreciate the pine bark, sure. But for other plants, the pine bark mulch could be too much organic matter, too much nitrogen, etc. Too much moisture retention. For some plants… but the perlite is good for aeration, yes, although it’s more annoying than anything because whenever the soil gets wet, it gradually floats to the surface. A better choice overall is pumice. Perlite of course is pumice, that’s the dumb part. But pumice is actually heavy and doesn’t float or pop easily like perlite. 😂

Is the pine bark mulch just the normal mulch you use in flower begs ? I was at Lowe’s today reading mulch bags . Help me once again ! Also our Lowe’s didn’t carry Black Cow and I refused to buy their brand . I will look for the cow ❤

They don't have pine bark mulch in TX 3 more years here then back to NC where I can get pine bark mulch
