I am a Goan myself & very much hurt & sorry to hear your bitter experience with the Goa Police. Thanks for making the people aware the rude treatment rendered to you'll by Goa police. This is gross injustice done to our tourist only for the sake of few Rupees. Such a disgrace.
Hope the Tourist Dept. "Ministry" is made aware of the present happenings & punish the wrong doers.
Actually, the true goans from Goa are very big hearted people.
We love to entertain our visitors irrespective of any religion. True goans love to sing, dance, enjoy lovely food & drinks. We love to make friends. This is our culture.

To rob or cheat people specially the tourist is never part of a real Goan intention.
Today I am very sad to see the wrong happenings in my beautiful home town Goa.

Same thing happened with us on 18 June near Panjim circle. They stopped my friend and got hold of the licence first and then said that insurance is expired and when we shown the insurance copy they said that my friend was drunk. It was morning 10:30 and we were visiting the Panjim church. He threatened to file a case and asked for 500 rupees and asked us to leave.

I'm Goan n I also totally agree with you brother, I have also seen everywhere Goa police harrassing Tourist, we Goan heartlly welcome tourist, but Goa police is spoiling our Goa's name, we sorry for that, n I also request transport minister n our, honarable chief minister to take some action, so in future no tourist should be harrass.

I want to tell one incident which happened in Goa.My brother is working in Goa .On 27th March night 5-6 people attacked on him and one of his colleague😑🥹🥹.They showed them knife and were asking for 40k.and after that they have scattered some liquid (may be chloroform)on my brother's face and his colleagues face.and brought them to candolim silent area ..they snatched the mobile phones as well and thrown two of them(my brother and his colleague)to one of the darkest area.


This is the worst thing happened in goa.Govt please do take immediate action on this matter.This should not happen with anyone.
These group of thieves putting the Goa's name down by doing such frauds and scams 😡..

I am sharing my personal experience of this third class, north goa- All the shacks are run by local gundaas- their servicing boys are always drunk and extremely rude with customers, pathetic quality and quantity of foods, no prompt response, delivery time and when you complain the same to shack owner they will also behave same with you. Cause all they know is "You are only one time customer to them, so they can ripe you to maximum extent" Hell, Not recommending this place to anyone.

3 days back I was stop by police and asking me my documents
And after few min 1 tourist was stop bcoz he 2as drinking while driving and police was asking his documents also and was nt ready show document that tourist remove 500 from his pocket and give to police telling him to leave
Nw telling me wht to say to tourist even they break rules

I agree with you mai bhee abhi recently Goa se aya mera 1000 ka chalan kaat Diya jab maine pucha ki reason to btao papers complete hai licence hai mere helmet laga rhkhi hai hai to kya dikkat lekin usne kaha jada bahas krega to 1000-2000 ho jayega or to har chaurahe pe rokna hota sirf tourist ko jabardasti ki checking

I went to goa and decided to never visit again. Worst place full of fraud not only by police it start from taxi drivers to water sports everywhere. I just regreted it 4 days spoiled. I went to bali and was amazed by hospitality and honesty of people there. Shame to Goa tourism.

Thanks for exposing the corrupted officials.
I am a Goan living overseas for the past 25+ years. This is the very reason that forced me to leave my beautiful state of Goa.
I have also experienced this corruption in all levels of government right from the elected ministers to the guy trying to sell the toilet paper in the public toilet which is supposed to be free.
The only solution is to expose them to the public as much as possible like your videos do and hoping for things to change. Also if the local news media can pick up on this would be helpful.
