While manufacturing the PC-12, the company's main aim was to build a single-engine plane with a sizable cabin capable of flying long distances at speed. Work on the PC-12 started in the late 1980s, and a prototype was completed before the plane was announced at the 1989 annual convention of the National Business Aviation Association.

I have refueled both the PC12 and PC24 Jet for the Royal Flying Doctor Service. They are so easy to refuel either overwing with the PC12 or pressure fueling on the PC24. Fantastic aircraft, reliable and used throughout Australia by the RFDS.
