Hello. I am from Bangladesh and I am learning French and German at the same time! And from my experience, French is easy to learn between them, though the pronunciations are tricky. But there are some pronunciation rules and if you got the technique, French will be easy for you.
German pronunciation is much easier. But the Grammar kills!

There are some certain differences between them-
1. Pronunciation- French Hard
2. Irregular verbs- French Hard
3. Gender- German Insane level Hard!
4. Articles- German kills! (Der, Die, Das, Den, Dem, Des)
5. Adjective endings- German kills! (48 types!) Where French has only 2 forms!
6. Cases- German kills! (Akkusativ, Dativ, Nominativ, Genitiv), Where Cases are not important in French!
7. Big words- German is insane! My Goodness!

So, from my experience- German is difficult than French!

Those having English knowledge, German is easy to learn . People from Japan and China having no English background may find it difficult .

Most Latin based languages share many similarities and cognates. Thus the difficulty level for English speakers is far less. Most problems come about due to sounds and pronunciation. I picked up Spanish in the US where I have lived for some 35 years and am fluent in it. It was actually not that tedious for me at all. The vast majority of higher vocabulary of English comes from Latin or Greek. The strange aspect is that as an English speaker, the higher I went in Spanish, the easier it became. I had more issues with the vernacular dialects and slang expressions.

✔️Yahi video chahiye tha.... main 38 saal ka hoon aur french ke baad ab german seekh rha hoon. 😉

Update: I have been learning german for more than 2 months now (and have A1 in french). i feel learning german is easier than french. Reason:
1. German is spoken same as what is written (minor exceptions are there). In hindi also we speak same as whats written. हिंदी और जर्मन पढ़ना आसान है, फ्रेंच पढ़ना मुश्किल है
2. German has grammar similar to Sanskrit and hindi. Verb usage is same as in Hindi व्याकरण .. For eg. हिन्दी क्रिया (verb)= खाना, जाना. German verb = esssen, gehen. Both in hindi and german verb is chaged as per subject. मैं खाता हूँ, i esse.
3. Similar to french, German has few english words, but pronounciation is easier in german. We have to be hard while speaking in german (french is spoken softly), same as in Hindi or sanskrit.
4. French conjugations and speaking is tough to start with. You can hardly understand what is spoken by natives, sply if they are fast. It takes few months to start hearing and understanding. In Sanskrit, you can conjugate two or many words to make new words, same as in German. For e.g in German Flugzeug = flug (flying)+zeug (thing). In sanskit Vayuyanam=vayu (air)+ yanam (machine).
5. If you search "Learn german through hindi", you can find many videos, but you cant learn french through hindi (its closer to english)
6. Sanskrit has 3 gender: पुल्लिंग स्त्रीलिंग and नपुंसक लिंग. Same as in German (Der, die, das).

In one of the video it was said, German has Sanskrit as mother and english as sister... So if u know sanskrit basics and english words meaning then german is not tough.

So overall, I disagree with speaker here and confirm german is easier for those who knows Hindi/sanskrit.
Go for it 👍👍👍

Sehr schön..i learned German and spanish both in 2 months. I dont claim to be a Master in them but i can prize open and explain the writings of a writer and their nuances both gramatically and contextually...
I found Spanish a bit challenging only to the extent of its usages of pronouns but beyond that it is a smooth sailing.
As for German i never found anything tough in it..i even read some writing of noted German writers and the true beauty of German is revealed in its usage of"extended modifiers".

Your 2 thoughts are not correct!

1. Every foreign language doesn't have the same difficulty level! The difficulty level depends on your mother tongue!
For Example- For the British, learning Hindi will be difficult where the Bengali speakers easily understand Hindi, though it isn't their mother tongue! Rather than, it'll be easier for them to learn Romance or Germanic languages!
Arabic is a Group 5 language! But it is easier for our subcontinent people to learn Arabic because there are so many Arabic words in Bengali, Hindi or Urdu!
Chinese can be easier for the east Asians, but difficult for the whole world to learn!
Just think! French and Chinese are both foreign languages! But is the difficulty level same for you?

2. Placing German in the 2nd Group isn't a wrong decision because of it's hard grammatical rules and sentence structure!
*I will buy a book- Ich werde einen buch kaufen! Just see! The main verb Kaufen has gone to the last place!
*I will have passed the exam- Ich werde die prufung gebestanden haben! This time 2 verbs- Bestehen and Haben have gone in the last position!
And English vocabulary much resembles with French than German because they've brought so many words from French, though English is a Germanic Language!
Docteur, Mecanicien, Ingenieur, Policier, Secretaire, Chef, Professeur, Charpentier, Comedien, Programmeur etc a lot of words of French resembles with English!

Those want to learn any foreign language, must learn the grammar of their their own language first.

Thoroughly disagreed with the verdict reached in this video. I am at least A2 in both German and French. I am a native Urdu speaker. I found the German language much more beautiful than French, also much easier to learn. French is too difficult when it comes to reading and writing (you cannot really do anything serious or professional in this language), and understanding it in verbal form is another huge challenge (as compared to German). The native French not only shed last parts of the word but also the word itself at times. For example, instead of 'Je suis desolate', I have often heard 'J desole', etc.

I live in France and have passed my A2 test after 1 year of study and now after 4 years I think I am B2+ but even I have problems in oral. If you go deep it’s gonna hard.
