You didn't mention the part where Loki tricked the blind god into throwing the mistletoe dart at Baldur which killed all the other gods beat the blind god to death before they realized Loki was the one who tricked him

Loki didn't escape with his whole family. He didn't take Fenrir, Jörmungandr, Hel, or even Sleipnir. If he had taken those of his kids with him the Norse gods wouldn't have captured him.
