How much ammonia is too much when maturing your filter?

Using household ammonia for a “fish less cycle” is the best way to mature your koi pond or aquarium filter without risking your fish but how much ammonia can you use? Given its sold as an aggressive cleaning fluid there must be a point at which the level is poisonous to the bacteria.

I discover you can use far more ammonia than most people think and cause no detrimental impact on any nitrifying bacteria.
