Max Donates 15 Inches to Wigs 4 Kids!

Max has grown his hair out for years (he says 2 in the video, but he told me that he said that on accident, he meant closer to 5 years) and decides that it's finally time to donate 15 inches of his hair to Wigs 5 Kids.

To anyone saying anything negative about the hairdresser we called ahead of time to ask if it was okay to film his haircut and they said that it was okay and that they would tell her ahead of time...And then they didn't. So we asked her personally if it was okay and she said yes, but she was a little bit nervous. When you're on camera and you're not used to it you often aren't the best at showing your best qualities and it can come out in a bunch of different ways. Max and I never felt disrespected or that she was being rude to us for a second. To us she seemed very nice, before, during and after and I was actually shocked to see all of the negative comments about such a nice but simply nervous woman.

I once donated 12 inches of my hair, I have copper penny red hair. About 2 months later I received a postcard with a picture of a wig made with my hair.

Max, thank you for donating to Wigs for Kids! I have terminal cancer, but loved being bald (weird considering I have natural curly 80s Bon Jovi/hairband hair).For a child, losing their hair is devastating. Those long locks will bring great joy! God bless you!

I’m so proud of Max. He melts my heart for donating to children. I’m so happy he didn’t get it cut super short and that he wants to donate again. Such a great example. Words can not describe how much this means to me that you did this. I myself not only donated 10+ inches of my hair, but I went through chemotherapy because I had NH lymphoma. I lost all my hair including my eyebrows. I worked with Wigs 4 Kids through the whole process before and during my hair loss. I also received a custom wig from them which gives me the confidence I lost. Wigs 4 kids is an amazing organization. It's people like Max that heals the people that have to deal with hair loss. Max has such a kind heart. <3

Thank you so much for your donation! You probably have no idea what these poor kids go through when they go back to school from being ill. The bullying is brutal. I know...my daughter had cancer while in kindergarten and 1st and 2nd grade. You really should see their faces when they get their wigs. It would melt your heart.
