I was SO WRONG about this Tank - Conway in War Thunder

The Conway in War Thunder is a British Tank destroyer with the highest penetrating APDS in the game. It shares this accolade with the Conqueror but it lacks a stabilizer and a chassis with armor.

The Conway is a Brit Mains best support tank for those larger maps where pesky Heavy tanks are roaming around. It's just a bit sad it's at 7.0 where it doesn't really have a lineup before reaching the Conqueror at 7.7 when it's just not really viable anymore.

I suspected I'd struggle with this tank due to past experiences but it turns out, it's not so bad! :)

ive somehow gaslit myself into thinking that the conway has 200mm+ of armor after non penning its turret every single time ive shot it even with 88s, 122s, and 152s

The Conway is so emblematic of why I like playing British. The goal is penetration. Whatever happens after is a bonus.

APDS needs to go through some armor (or modules) to generate schrapnels.
That's why OB says at some point in the video that he needs to take front shots to get a lot of post-pen effects

The problem for a vast part of the Brit ground tree is the speed of the tanks, by the time you are a third of the way into the map the enemy are all camped up and waiting to ambush you.
