Got a female Akita for our 10 year old male as his pet. They play so crazy! When they chase each other the furniture slides all over the tile! At least 3X daily we have to push the furniture back in place. She’s sooo good for his spirit. Best choice we’ve made.

I have an Akita and we rescude her her previous owners said that if no one took her she had to be put down because apparently she was too "vIoLeNt" but really they just weren't too nice to her, forcing her outside and we think that she was just left out there no matter the weather because now its like shes scared of going out, but she doesn't mined going for walks because she knows we'll take our other dog too p.s. her and my other dog are in love and her name is Irya and now we are having to make a place for her to have puppies because her and my other dog uhh, well you know do what you do when your in love and she should be due in October and I can't wait for her little white/ yellowish pups running around, we probably won't be able to ceep them all but that's ok we will make sure her pupers are in safe hands :)

Please can I ask as can't find an answer but when my pup Akita plays, she likes to put her arm over mine and then sometimes put it under her. Is this normal and OK in play or do I stop this behaviour. She's 5 month old American Akita
