Glad to see you still like it! I recently sold my Madonna V3 and I’m looking to move to the Jibb LT. The Madonna is the best I’ve ridden but a little too much bike for half of my rides. Hoping the Jibb is gives that feel in a more appropriate package.

Also, I DID IT!! Pulled the trigger, ordered a black Jibb v1 XL ohlins air. Already got ohlins rxf 36 m2 fork. Wheels are 350s with ex511s, XT drivetrain same as you, oneup dropper, dhr evo brakes! Yeaah!!

My optic just got called out haha. I think the 24 is pretty vastly different to the outgoing model which maybe more in this style. The non kinematic change to mullet is really rare in the industry I feel. It climbs great and I really like long chainstays but wanted to see what one could do in a middle of the road length that didn't seem like it would grow as much as a druid or dreadnought. I did an alloy frame up with a vivid and a lyrik. I'm confident it would feel a bit easier to throw around then this but maybe less confident in straight line speed with that length chainstay. (440 is as long as I've tried at 5'10 and I do like that.)

I'd probably love this bike as it sounds a lot like the good pole bikes before they started doing weird glued together frames and 100 percent focused on ebikes.

Thanks for putting this together! You're totally right, there's not a lot out there on this bike yet. It's on my short list for my next bike though. I'd love to know how it feels when configured as an MX and in the LT setup, and maybe still keeping the 150 upfront. On paper this reminds me a lot of the Banshee Prime and Forbidden Druid v2, longer stays and shorter reach with a bigger than usual fork up front. I'm currently on a 5010 v5, and I'm constantly getting myself into trouble with that thing as I get more comfortable riding more difficult terrain. I've got some things in the works to address it's shortcomings however...

I have the flexstay stumpy and love it for my main light duty trail bike, seems like I should probably consider the Madonna over the Jibb as my 2nd bike that's more enduro oriented?

Awesome review- this vs the meta v5. Which would you choose as an all-rounder- I’m thinking meta.

I have the nomad now and love it. I also have an airdrop edit which is closer to the Madonna but is super playful

Have you tried the 5010 V5? As much as I love my Nomad, the 5010 is probably the most fun bike I’ve ever owned.

Built up with a 36 fork and beefier tires & brakes, the thing is so much fun and really capable, it’s like a mini-nomad. I grab it for most of my rides unless I’m going to go ride really rowdy terrain or the bike park.

How tall are you? You went with the XL? I’m 5’11 and 495 scares me. My DH bike is 465. My “trail” bike is 485. I’m thinking the L 470 might be cramped for long climbs. But 495 (xl) might be to stretched out. Ugh. I don’t know.

Hey Jon, great video but the cuts have a very loud sound compared to speech and kind of take away from the viewing, distracts you when you're trying to hear what youre saying and then CLICK or SWOOSH 😅
