I figured this out in 1993 when i first saw the movie Amadeus... Beethoven's fifth is written 2 beats per measure allegro con brio because he was going deaf he was almost deaf so he used bone conduction to hear it by laying a thin piece of wood across the cords and then another thin piece of wood to his mouth biting down on it to hear it... it was Beethoven a course he knows it he wanted to hear it... That is why the music is written two beats per measure allegro con brio and doesn't match.. that is why.. he wanted to hear it.. it builds to a crescendo then diminuendos and recapitulated with a slight varient...
