I personally think epic should have left the cactus the way they were. Teams had almost 2 months to find their drop spots and any team that went north that’s on them. I’m pretty sure there was a similar regenerating healing flower in chapter 4 in the jungle. Now that they are 1 hit it will definitely be a lot more interesting but for the teams who fought for their drops all season got the short side of the stick.

I think since this helps any team not using cacti this doesn’t hurt clix and veno severely. They land at sandy steppes which only has one useable cactus which isn’t at all close to their storm tower. So they don’t use it much.

It’s probably easier for Epic to remove the cacti than to modify it. Epic they love to take the path of least resistance. Hence why so many bugs have gone unaddressed since chapter 4 like crash pad jr, fall damage etc
