LIVE: MA v. Karen Read - Motion to Dismiss - Defendant Karen Read returns to court hoping to get her case dismissed after the Killer or Cover-Up Murder Trial ended in a mistrial.

Read is accused of killing her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe, by hitting him with her car and leaving him to die in the snow. The judge declared a mistrial after a hung jury but some jurors are coming forward saying they acquitted Read of murder.

The fact bev told the jury you must come to a unanimous decision on ALL counts, and not ask if they came to a unanimous decision on ANY count, shows how truly incompetent she is as a judge.

I believe that Judge Cannoli cares far more for her close family friends than she does for the rule of law or justice for the innocent.
In my opinion, I wholeheartedly believe that Auntie Bev would shoot herself in the foot in order to protect her friends.

The other attorney came up with a story as an alternative as to what could have happened with the cover up and all that BS. You don't need an alternative story when you tell the truth. Lally is a terrible attorney. Not only does he lie, his interpretation of the law and rules shows his incompetence. He comes off super arrogant and I think that's to hide how bad he is at lawyering.

Mr. Weinberg gave a masterclass today. This should be required viewing for all law students. Now that dude? He can lawyer.

And still regardless of how interesting this case is I have to fast forward through Lally because it’s like nails on a chalkboard listening to him. A huge jumbled joke this whole thing is 🙄 I really hope the CW comes to their senses and does not waste additional tax dollars down the drain just to spare the prosecution their blushes.

I watched the entire trial and I’m my opinion the judges instructions were the problem. Read’s attorney tried to get the instruction changed. He wanted a guilty and not guilty with each charge and she only had a not guilty at the bottom of the three charges. In my opinion the jury didn’t know they could find her not guilty of each individual charge. The not guilty was at the bottom and could only be check if she was not guilty of all three charges. That is my understanding. Wish we could see the instructing the jury received.
