I don't even know why the "Brad's bullet was meant for Trevor" is even a theory. It is explained in the game that it was meant for Trevor because he is crazy.

Rockstar has stated that in GTTA V the 3 Protagonist are archetypes of the three primary types of players, Trevor is the Chaotic kill crazy players who don't really care about the story just want to cause mayhem and have fun, Michael is the Veteran player who been through their Trevor phase and is enjoying the story and the gameplay, and Franklin is the New player, learning the ropes.

The Michael is Claude theory has so many holes that I don't even know where to start, so here are just a few:
While Claude was dating Catalina, Michael was married to Amanda
In 1992, when San Andreas takes place, Michael was living in a trailer in the Midwest with his wife, not racing cars in San Andreas
In both 1992 and 2001, Claude is relatively skinny, definitely not with a gut like Michael. Even Trevor states that when he met Michael, in the early 1990s that Michael "had a gut but was muscular underneath it"

I'm fully behind the theory Ryder wasn't intended to be a villain. I remember an in-depth analysis of his character that suggested this also, IIRC MC Eiht may have had a pay dispute with Rockstar (something they're known for) and that was the reason for the last minute change

Ryder's betrayal actually starts during House Party when he says he's going to round up some homies to help against the Ballas, but you never see him during the shoot-out. As for the last one, Dave's bullet was meant for Trevor, however Brad walked into the path and got shot instead. You hear Michael's conversation with Franklin after the mission Dead Man Walking that the wrong guy got killed, that guy being Brad

The three character representation theory is fun. I always saw then as the modern representations of the 3 PS2 Era games. Michael obviously being the embodiment of Tommy Vercetti all washed up, Franklin obviously being modern CJ, and Trevor translating the cathartic psychopathy we all found as Claude in GTA 3, just with a voice and personality now.

Ryder WASN’T intended to be a villain. I heard that it was because MC Eiht left the game

Big Smoke saying to CJ "you picked the wrong house fool" at the begining of the video makes me laugh so hard

I instantly knew Big Smoke was behind the murder of CJ’s mom from the way he just threw the bat onto the same table with her photo.

I was really hoping to see some GTA IV ones like Niko having PTSD after Kate died because of the phone calls you still get.

The Ryder wasn't supposed to be an enemy theory is one I fully believe in and has even more weight than mentioned here. The dialogue that Ryder has post betrayal is extremely similar to his dialogue at the beginning of the mission Robbin' Uncle Sam. He even slurrs his words on them cause he was high in that cutscene. It makes no sense for him to sound high in the pier 69 mission. More than that as someone who works in game design now, I can tell you it is extremely common for storylines/ plans to get cut or severely changed extremely late into production for a variety of reasons such as voice actors not being available to redo lines, to contract issues, and most likely in this case time restraints not allowing for whatever was planned.

The only problem I have with the “smoke was going to kill sweet” theory is that when CJ is not with the 3 grove st ogs, they are all usually hanging out together. Since Smoke and Ryder are both traitors, they had many opportunities to kill sweet when CJ wasn’t around

The 2nd theory regarding Ryder is actually a FACT
The actor left the shooting mid game cuz of an argument
So Rockstar killed Ryder off

Dude Ryder not originally betraying GS is just a plain fact since his actor had more important things to do and R* changed it so he was a traitor despite his missions benefitting GS unlike smokes missions ( that's why they reuse previous dialog for his later appearances )

The most quotable line not just GTA San Andreas, but the entire franchise is “All you had to do was follow the damn train, CJ!”

I think Ryder’s betrayal could have been Tenpennys plan all along.

To destroy the group from within, and make Carl see Ryder in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

Reason why Ryder only had a couple lines after his betrayal and why cj only spoke his name once is because the voice actor of Ryder apparently got into trouble and couldn’t finish his parts in the game

Ryder wasn't suppsed to betray Grove street but the voice actor left to do an album or something before he was finished voicing and he left on bad terms so they had Ryder betray Grove. His voice actor leaving prematurely is whe he uses already existing voice clips when you hunt him down.

That first theory is just... no. It's already confirmed that the GTA V timeline is not apart of the GTA III timeline. GTA III, VC, SA, LCS, VCS, and ADV are apart of one timeline while GTA IV, TLAD, TBOGT, and V are apart of a completely different timeline.
