I was with the 101st Airborne Division at that time During REFORGER 76, When the whole Division went to Europe, During war games my squad leader was told by our company commander to turn in all our blank ammo, we already found out about the bad news, a couple of hours later 4 Trucks with LIVE AMMO showed up and we were ordered to write letters to home probably the last time to do so, NORT KOREA WAS GOING TO GET A HUGE DOSE OF WOOPASS FROM THE US MILITARY 🪖! BUT 4 HOURS LATER, We were ordered to stand down, it was the closest time is was going to war during my time in the MILITARY, whew! But i was ready 🤨.

I served there in 77 and actually was able to obtain pictures of that day and still have them to this day

I remember that. I was in the Air Force at this time. I stay awake for 43 hours straight.

I was stationed in Okenawa and when this happened we sent 30 fully load F-4's there too

I was there in an artillery unit. We headed north, had 3 fences cut down and laid on a side of a hill with our basic load waiting with no M16 ammo because we had just left the range after training. After two weeks we rolled back to our camp and remained on standby at the yard for another week. Before we were told to stand down. 2nd D 💪. 1976-1977.
