People of LA are so resilient and I believe they will come out of this as they did on Katrina. Be strong and courageous.

If there can be a bright side to a major hurricane, it has to be that we get to see people helping each other and not caring about politics or anything else, just getting everyone to survive. Wish you a speedy recovery Louisiana!!

I was in new orleans just a few days ago, I’m praying for my family right now. Hopefully they’re safe.

Edit: they’re safe in Texas, we’re just able to contact them :)

I can't believe people condemning them for living there. Moving is expensive. Not everyone can afford to leave.

It’s tragic enough just to see it on tv. I couldn’t imagine living it. God bless y’all.

One death is depressing
I hope it doesn't go up anymore
If that one death is possible
May it just be that one

Rest in peace

If every year there is even a slight chance of a Hurricane in that area, why do people insist in moving there?

I live in Hawaii, a hurricane-prone state - I've always wondered why power lines are placed back on poles when rebuilding? Seems like another solution is in order.

i seriously cant get enough of these reporters trying to heighten up the event when its unnecessary. i mean we ALL know that damaging winds come with hurricanes.. and yes, this means roofs will get blown off along with mush more damage. why are they trying to make it seem like its a phenomenon...
