In the Avatar comics, Ursa walks in on Zuko and Azula and overhears that Ozai asked for the throne after Lu-Ten’s death and as punishment, he must now end his first born son, Zuko
She tells Azula to go to bed and goes to confront her husband, begging him to not go through with this but he claims he has no choice
Out of options, Ursa desperately tries to make a deal with Ozai, knowing all he wants is the throne
She reveals that she knows how to make a colourless and odorless poison that Ozai can use in exchange for Zuko’s life
Ozai accepts this deal but only on one condition, that Ursa will leave the capital and never come back AND he will keep both the children as collateral
Ursa reluctantly agrees and we see her brewing the poison with the skill inherited by her mother, grounding up flower petals to concoct the poison and handing it over to Ozai
She goes to say her final goodbyes to her two children, kissing a sleeping Azula on the cheek before doing the same to Zuko who is woken up
Ursa gives Zuko one final hug, claiming she’s everything she’s done was to protect him as she slips on her cloak and makes her way out of the palace, traveling my boat and never to return
Cutting back to the present the group set off for the forgotten valley in search of both Ursa and Ikem

The world is divided into four nations -- the Water Tribe, the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation and the Air Nomads -- each represented by a natural element for which the nation is named. Benders have the ability to control and manipulate the element from their nation. Only the Avatar is the master of all four elements. The ruthless Fire Nation wants to conquer the world but the only bender who has enough power, the Avatar, has disappeared ... until now. His tribe soon discovers that Aang is the long-lost Avatar. Now Katara and Sokka must safeguard Aang on his journey to master all four elements and save the world from the Fire Nation.

I'm shocked he just banished her. after taking her poison and seeing that it worked I would have thought he would have beheaded her so that he wouldn't get poisoned too. spirits know he deserved it.

Well Usra did save Zuko's Life and really did care for Azula despite her mental instability but Ozai see it as a chance to get rid of his Tyrannicial and Arrogant Old Man .

Weird plot development. She went through all the trouble of killing Azulon only to leave Zuko in the hands of a man who was happy to kill him out of respect for his father. She should have taken Ozai out too.

No doubt, despite her change in appearance, and new life, or must’ve hit Dee to see Zuko and Azula again. I feel, despite her reservations, the Face-Maker Spirit probably felt pity for Ursa, and made an exception.

I liked Ursa but she went too far with Azula, I loved her but she only showed her fear and distrust and sexism.
