Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Instead of trying to predict and prognosticate the stability of the market and precisely when the change is going to happen, a better strategy is simply having a portfolio that’s well prepared for any eventually, that’s how some folks' been averaging 150K every 7week these past 4months according to Bloomberg.

My ex husband was a plumber. He used to tell me about going into brand new, extraordinary homes to do work. The living rooms would be decked out with furnishings and decor, but he'd see bedrooms with a mattress on the floor, and nothing else. So much was spent on what others would see that they couldn't afford any other basics.

My husband is an accountant. He always says, " You can look rich or be rich, very few are both". 🙂

Influencers posing on private property - this happened to me during the summer of COVID. I own a small bungalow with a wrap around porch. One day I was gardening on the side of my house. Female voices, which I dimissed as the neighbors, were getting louder and louder as I was making my way to the front. When I got there, I could see two girls decked out in sun dresses sprawling across my porch furniture and snapping photos. I identified myself as the owner and asked if I could help them. They said no, they thought my house was cute and that it would make a cute backdrop for their photos. I told them I didn't want photos of my house posted on the internet and that they would have to leave. . They laughed at me and took their good old time removing themselves - clearly they felt I had the problem. Then they went across the street to my neigbor's, and planted themselves in the middle of their flower bed to take photos in front of boxwood topiaries. Needless to say, the neighbors threw them out, too. At the risk of sounding melodramatic (and I know it doesn't sound like a big deal), when it happens to you, you feel violated.

(Yes, please get off my lawn :)

I’m really rich . I just don’t have a lot of money lol. I have health, my kids are happy and healthy, my husband is healthy and I’m in love with him. 😊 I have God in my life and I’m excited for the next chapters.

I know people who are behind in rent and having utilities turned off, but they never miss a manicure appointment, a trend, weekly hair appointments, etc. That is just plain stupid.

Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future. Making money is not the same as keeping it there is a reason why investments aren't well taught in schools, the examples you gave are well stationed, the market crisis gave me my first millions, people shy away from hard times, I embrace them.. well at least my advisor does lol.

It must be exhausting to fake a life for strangers who don't give a tiny rat's arse about you.

How sad and depressed these people must be that they put all of their energy in creating a fake life so that strangers will envy them.😢

I make very little money, under 30, 000 a year. But, I also have almost no expenses. We paid off our house years ago, and do updates as we can afford it, doing all the work ourselves. We’ve always bought older Toyotas and drive them till they’re dead, and pay cash for them. People are envious of how much we travel now, but honestly, we travel on a shoestring. We stay at cheap Airbnb’s, public transportation, and eat like the locals. We have always lived our lives by the Benjamin Franklin principle, I make myself rich by making my wants few,

As a bartender I had a group of influencers (at the time I didn’t know) come in, ask for the prettiest drink(which took 8-10 minutes to make 4 since they were craft cocktails) for them to leave 5 minutes later not having drank any. A coworker told me after they cashed out that they were only there to get content for social media and leave. They did tip well, but that was probably the day I realized just how deep this social media thing goes. I haven’t had social media in about 2-3 years now and it has seriously been therapeutic.

My friend worked for Sephora and a woman would come in and return $2, 000 a month which would ruin the store's sales goals. When the new return policy took effect, they couldn't wait to tell her she was banned from returning for one year. She said the look on the woman's face when she realized she would be stuck with the bill.

My late husband summed it up with the saying, “Those people have a big hat, but no cattle.” Thank you for this video.

I don't think influencers realise how incredibly uncool it is to be an influencer

True millionaires NEVER flex on social media or advertise their wealth. 1. They don't need to impress anyone. 2. They don't want to become targets. 3. They run in different circles than people on social media. Most influencers are fakers or scammers anyway.

I remember someone telling me when I was in college: "the truly rich will not tell you. If they tell you they are rich, they are faking it." One of the richest people I ever met had a 20 year old sedan and wore clothes they had had for at least a decade.
