I paid for you ultimate driving course, I passed today with 0 minors. The examiner said it was a really good drive, he commented on the fact that on large roundabout I’d still look to the right when traffic on the right was stopped on red lights just incase there was any “stupid drivers” as I called them😂 when I was slowing down as I was coming over a hill and couldn’t see if anything was coming up I was mention why i was slowing down. I was talking my whole way through. On the way back to the test centre the examiner said he lived local to the area and we should have a cuppa😂 literally thought I’d failed as he closed his iPad and put it by his feet around 20 mins into the test. I got 0 minors. I’m happy❤️

I feel like the time before you can sit another test should be determined by how many faults you get tbh, seems more fair than any one size fits all rule.

Ngl theory pass certificates should be extended to reflect these new policies alongside the major backlog with a 6-8 month waiting time outside London for a test is just ridiculous

Your point is quite fair, if a learner gets 2 serious faults it's fair to give them 28 days to learn and if its just 1 serious fault they should be able to do it in a 10 day period. Unfortunately the DVSA wont change it and i hope they do soon as learners are always nervous before the test that makes them do mistakes on a test that they never did during there lessons.

I bought your course and that was the only material I studied and applied myself to and am happy that I passed my test with only 3 advisories .

I passed 2nd time recently with 5 minors, my first test I drived way better and had 1 minor. Just happened to get a very difficult scenario that I made a mistake on. Your idea of more majors = more delay is perfect.

How long is the waiting time in your area? On average its about 6 months here. Changing it to 28 days literally does nothing. Not closing my local test centre might actually have helped though. Especially give the most common thing to be worrying my learners is not anything to with their driving, it's how long they will have to wait if they mess it up. All that extra pressure is too much for some of them.

Learning and passing in the uk now, as opposed to 26 years ago when the theory was first introduced i believe, is more difficult then ever. I failed my first test 2 months ago in quite a controversial fashion (basically i was inbetween a rock and a hard place, either choice of my decision making would of led to a poor overall.)

Had to wait 5 months for that test, and it was demoralising when you hear "on this occasion you have been unsuccessful!"

Luckily i was able to reschedule pretty quickly (10 day rule applies) and move it quite a few months to July from Oct, and just a few days ago I passed.

2 of the biggest obstacles you will face is the time scale of just sitting a test, and the psychology of being mentally assertive enough to convince yourself that you are capable of doing it. I walked into that dtc, must of been 10 other people in there, and you could literally hear the smallest of pins drop. Before i barely had a chance to sit down my name was called. I was more then ready, i was buzzing, and i won't bullshit by saying it's a piece of piss, because it ain't, but mentally - i knew i had too much riding on this to even contemplate failing and waiting until Dec or even new year for a 3rd test.

Just don't overthink it, don't doubt it, and never dwell on what happened here and there. Do your manoeuvres, understand stopping and starting, and drive like a LEARNER. The rest is up to just how much you understand driving leading up to a 40 min window. This is why you started to learn, so don't let emotions convince you that you ain't capable. The rest becomes nature - by - design.

Perhaps it should be at the examiner’s discretion whether they must wait 10 working days or 28 working days. So if the examiner felt they were very close, 10 days but if they were nowhere near, 28 days.

I Literally Just Passed My Extended Driving Test 1st Time, With 1 Minor! I Wasn't Prepared To Wait 28 Days For The Next Test If I Failed. Especially With The Waiting Times Of Practical Tests Compared To The Expiration Date Of Your Theory Test. So I Booked The Test In Auto Just So I Could Pass It Quickly. From my experience booking the test myself rather than waiting for a cancellation saved me. I waited for a cancellation for just over a month with no booking, I decided to check the website at 6am when the DVSA website opens and managed to find 2-3 tests available within around the same week at the test centre I wanted. Now this could just be a one time thing idk, but I am surprised that I could find it before a company that is based around finding them, but knowing the amount of people using cancellations there could just be a big queue.
