Let's go over the new Nvidia Blackwell GPU's, aka the RTX 50-series, the specs, performance, 3nm process, chiplet design, GDDR7 memory, pricing & more

Quick Summary.
Release: Q4 2024 - Q1 2025 (expected)
Naming: Likely RTX 50-series (GB202, GB203, GB205, GB206, GB207)
Architecture: Chiplet design possible for data center cards, not confirmed for gaming
Process: TSMC 3nm rumored, potentially smaller die sizes and improved efficiency
Performance: RTX 5090 (GB202) may offer significant gains over RTX 4090
Memory: GDDR7 with higher bandwidth expected, offsetting need for wider memory bus
Pricing: No major drops likely, might be slightly lower than RTX 40-series
Additional Insights:

RTX 5080 could rival RTX 4090 performance at a lower price point
RTX 5070 might deliver RTX 4080-like 4k performance with upscaling
More VRAM expected in mid-range and budget cards

Plus a few extras you gotta watch the video for lol

There is a small chance the 5090 and only the 5090 releases in Q4 2024

I know you're a small channel and I love your content, I don't know if its too much to ask but can you add timestamps to the next videos?

Just when I was able to get my hands on a 4090 at retail ... which will carry me for a long long time yet.

There is no reason for Nvidia to launch 5090, because there is no company can beat 4090 level atm. All they have to do is to fix the power connector and make the GPU's board a little thicker and reduce the price to probably $1200-1300 level

I agree, I don't think the 4090 is going to get a huge price decrease when the 5090 drops, the 3090 TI is about the same price as a 4090. I think the 4090 and 5090 is going to be around the same price, unless the 5090 is going to be $3000. This is why I am waiting for the price of the 5090 before I complete my first gaming Rig build.

If gen on gen is another 50-60%, this puts the 5060 with 12GB of VRAM at around the performance of a 3080 12GB which should be plenty of performance for sub 400 USD GPU. The 5070 at least has to match a 4080 Super as well for 500-600 USD. 5080 matches the 4090(another 40% performance delta) and then the 5090 jumps some 70% above that.

4th quarter releases aren't always about the holiday season. They're more about getting the yearly earnings up.

Personally I really like AMD for their cpus. They have higher end desktop CPUs this time around, the x3d is nice, and the single core performance is wonderful.

5090 coming out in late 2024 seems likely to me. The rest of the cards probably arrive in staggered fashion throughout 2025. I can only hope Nvidia learns from how badly they botched ADA LL (price to performance and naming) and do better. Probably won't, but we can always hope. People are complaining about the power stuff because: they live in California (rates are BEYOND high, unless you have solar), needing more powerful PSU's, definitely coming close or exceeding a normal 15A wall socket....many things. Laptops as well. Performance per watt DOES matter! I am not going to dive into the nitty gritty of my electrician background with DC Theory, but trust me, power usage is big in these things.

i hate the heat my 3000dollar pc produces, but only during summer time!

I run my PCs all day with a 4090 and a 4060 on majority of the day and my electric bill went up less than 30 bucks a month I’m not tripping. It was not a big deal and they get used heavily everyday.

If 5080 doesn't have at least 16GB vram, it's a scam

There's no 4050 but considering they just released the 3050 they will more than likely release a 4050 halfway through the 50 series.

Also, Ada is a name, not a set of letters. She was also a mathmetician, daughter of Lord Byron, and known for her work on the first computer with Charles Babbage. The funny thing about naming the chipset that is that Nvidia uses DLSS, with the Ada Lovelace chipset using the newest DLSS 3, which is AI based frame generation. The reason why that's funny is because Ada Lovelace was very dismissive over the concept of artifical intelligence, even writing a paper about it. So to see her name used on a chipset that uses some great artificial intelligence based frame generation is pretty ironic.
